Biography

Ms. Arti Ranjan is a dedicated academician, researcher, and educator in the field of Computer Science and Engineering with more than 15 years of teaching, research, and academic administration experience across prestigious institutions in India and Denmark. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College, Denmark, where she actively contributes to teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, and research-driven innovation. Ms. Ranjan completed her B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from IERT, Allahabad, followed by an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad. She also qualified the UGC-NET examination in 2018, demonstrating her strong academic foundation. Her doctoral research in Computer Science and Engineering at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), New Delhi, submitted in February 2026, focuses on developing intelligent deep learning frameworks for restoring degraded images, videos, and text data, with emphasis on real-world applications and resource-efficient computing. Her research interests span Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Signal Processing, Intelligent Visual Systems, and AI-driven Decision Support Systems. She has proposed several innovative deep learning architectures, including VAEWGAN for image deblurring, ViConNet for real-time video deblurring, and TextFormer for blurred document and scene text restoration. These contributions address practical challenges in visual computing while balancing computational efficiency for deployment on edge and mobile devices. Ms. Ranjan has an impressive publication record comprising numerous papers in SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals, international conferences, edited books, and book chapters. Her work has appeared in reputed journals such as Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation, Signal, Image and Video Processing, Circuits, Systems and Signal Processing, and Multimedia Tools and Applications. She has also authored books on Research Design and Methodology, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, and Emerging Technologies, while serving as editor for internationally published books in advanced image processing and artificial intelligence. In recognition of her outstanding research contributions, she received the Commendable Research Award from IGDTUW in 2023 and 2024. She has also published patents in the domains of AI-enabled fraud detection and intelligent flood warning systems. Beyond research, she actively serves as a reviewer, session chair, and technical committee member for several national and international journals and conferences, promoting quality research and academic collaboration. Throughout her career, Ms. Ranjan has held faculty positions at institutions including Sharda University, Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, GNIOT, and LDC Institute of Technical Studies, where she contributed extensively to teaching, mentoring, accreditation activities (NBA/NAAC), curriculum development, and student project supervision. She is equally passionate about knowledge dissemination through digital platforms and is the Co-founder of the YouTube channel "University Academy," which has attracted over one million views through educational content on Cloud Computing and Software Engineering.
